Sanaalee Troupe is a sixteen-year-old sophomore at the Waldorf School of Garden City located in Long Island, New York. Sanaalee decided to join Autisma due to her robust passion for providing and improving opportunities and supporting others who may not have the same advantages as her. Sanaalee advocates for Autisma’s mission because at a young age, she witnessed the difficulties endured by her older cousin who struggled to articulate her thoughts and fully formulate her words due to the fact that she was not yet diagnosed with Autism. When she was diagnosed, she began to reap all the resources and tools required to help her overcome the challenges she had struggled with. With all this said Sanaalee desires to help others have the opportunity to be diagnosed and to get the guidance they need so they can overcome their own challenges just like her cousin did. Outside of Autisma, Sanaalee is the Executive Director and Founder of Cleaner Oceans Institute, works with IYNA as a fundraising team member, and avidly plays and competes in golf competitions in her free time.
